Erin Coia is an associate in the Atlanta office. She graduated from Furman University, magna cum laude, in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She obtained her law degree from the University of South Carolina in 2008, graduating cum laude.
While attending Furman University, Ms. Coia was one of the founding members and publicity chair of the campus’s Relay for Life, a community fundraising event to raise awareness about all forms of cancer. She was also a member of the Richard Riley Institute Advance Team, which was instrumental in bringing well-known speakers to campus, including Madeline Albright and Marian Wright Edelman.
During law school, Ms. Coia served as a member of the editorial board and later as the Associate Editor in Chief of the South Carolina Law Review. After graduating from law school and before entering private practice, Ms. Coia was a law clerk to the Honorable W. Leon Barfield, Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Georgia. Erin is married and has two children.
