Jud C. Stanford
Biography
Jud C. Stanford is a Partner in our Birmingham office where he specializes in construction defect, general liability, insurance coverage, premises liability, transportation, labor and employment, and workers’ compensation matters. He also serves as a mediator in personal injury, general liability, workers’ compensation, and insurance coverage matters in the state of Alabama.
Jud is a skilled litigator and has tried many cases successfully in both state and federal courts in Alabama. He defends employers in high exposure workers’ compensation claims and businesses in insurance coverage issues from a general liability, first party, and excess carrier perspective. His litigation philosophy is shaped by his family’s experience as small business owners, as he understands the many daily challenges that business owners face.
Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith, Jud was Partner at a civil trial and appellate firm in Birmingham.
Jud earned his Juris Doctor from the Birmingham School of Law. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Jud plays an active role in his community as a member the Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, and a member of the Vestavia Hills City Schools Foundation.
