Biography

Jud C. Stanford is a Partner in our Birmingham office where he specializes in construction defect, general liability, insurance coverage, premises liability, transportation, labor and employment, and workers’ compensation matters. He also serves as a mediator in personal injury, general liability, workers’ compensation, and insurance coverage matters in the state of Alabama.

Jud is a skilled litigator and has tried many cases successfully in both state and federal courts in Alabama. He defends employers in high exposure workers’ compensation claims and businesses in insurance coverage issues from a general liability, first party, and excess carrier perspective. His litigation philosophy is shaped by his family’s experience as small business owners, as he understands the many daily challenges that business owners face.
