Paul E. Petersen, III is an Associate in our Atlanta office, and he defends clients in a wide range of transportation related litigation.

He has handled numerous automobile and trucking liability lawsuits from inception to verdict or judgment, and has served as solo first chair in several jury trials. He has managed a revolving caseload of as many as 100 fully active cases, and advised adjusters on legal issues, evaluation ranges and case strategy.

He has taken and defended more than 200 depositions of plaintiffs, defendants and witnesses, deposed and defended treating doctors and expert witnesses, mediated more than 100 cases to favorable settlements, and argued and won numerous motions including summary judgments and motions to dismiss.

Earlier in his career, Paul served as a law clerk to Judge Ernest D. Blount of State Court of Henry County, worked as a project attorney in the discovery center of a major Atlanta law firm, and handled contracts, business matters and real estate litigation at another Atlanta firm.

Paul earned a Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in finance with a minor in history from the University of Georgia, where he was an Honors Program graduate.
