Workers’ Compensation

Peter Skaliy is an Associate in our Atlanta office, and he focuses his practice on a wide range of workers’ compensation matters.

He defends employers, self-insurers and insurance companies throughout Georgia in workers’ compensation claims, and has taken numerous depositions, defended depositions, tried cases before administrative law judges, and mediated and settled claims.

Earlier in his career, Peter worked for two years at another firm in Atlanta, where he defended clients in workers’ compensation and first party property insurance lawsuits. He was also an associate at a global commercial real estate firm, and he worked as a judicial intern at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newnan, Georgia, and at the State Court of Cobb County. He was also a paralegal at Hall Booth Smith.

Peter earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Georgia State University College of Law, where he was active in the Student Trial Lawyers Association, the Business and Law Society, and the Student Health Law Association. He completed a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, a Master of Divinity from Emory University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina.
