Biography

Sarah V. Martin is Of Counsel in the Atlanta office of Hall Booth Smith, where she focuses her practice on general liability matters. With over a decade of trial and courtroom experience, Sarah brings a strategic and results-driven approach to representing insurers, individuals, and businesses in complex civil matters.

Before joining HBS, Sarah served as a senior trial attorney at Allstate Insurance Company, where she conducted examinations under oath, provided coverage opinions, and successfully resolved claims through litigation and alternative dispute resolution. She also owned and operated her own law firm, where she represented clients in civil and personal injury cases, negotiated favorable settlements, and mentored junior attorneys.

Earlier in her career, Sarah spent nearly a decade as a public defender in Fulton County, handling a wide range of criminal and juvenile matters. As the lead attorney in the Juvenile Delinquency Division, she developed a specialty in juvenile law and was instrumental in establishing best practice standards adopted by the court. Her creative motion practice and trial advocacy led to numerous favorable outcomes, including dismissals and appellate wins.

Sarah earned her J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, where she was elected to the Executive Board of the Mercer Advocacy Council. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Kennesaw State University. She is also a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College’s Trial Practice Institute.
