Steve D. Paveglio, Jr.
Biography
Steve Paveglio is a Partner in the Jacksonville office who handles a variety of general and professional liability matters in federal and state courts. This includes batch claims, construction defects, medical malpractice, negligent security, products liability, premises liability, and trucking/transportation. He enjoys being active in the courtroom, has written and successfully argued motions for summary judgment, and has obtained fee and costs awards for his clients.
Prior to joining HBS, Steve was a Shareholder at a national, multi-specialty firm. He earned his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. Prior to law school, he attended Franklin & Marshall College, where he played football and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Government.
Experience
Steve has experience defending a wide array of general liability matters that often include catastrophic injury and death. This includes providing a defense to design professionals and contractors in construction defect matters; property owners and management companies facing allegations of negligent security, unsafe conditions, and slip/trip and falls; retailers and manufacturers accused of designing, manufacturing, or selling a defective product; and trucking/transportation companies involved in motor vehicle accidents.
Steve’s experience includes defending traditional medical malpractice claims on behalf of hospitals and doctors. In addition, he has defended multi-claimant/batch claims involving issues of alleged medical and dental malpractice.
