Whitney Gibbs is an Associate in our Atlanta office, and she focuses her practice on general liability, construction and insurance coverage matters.

Earlier in her career, Whitney was an Assistant Public Defender in DeKalb County in metro Atlanta and in the Flint Judicial Circuit in McDonough, Georgia. She has tried more than two dozen felony and misdemeanor cases.

She also worked as a researcher for the DeKalb County Child Advocacy Center, and she was a University of Georgia Public Interest Fellow for the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. She also completed the Teach for America program, where she developed and implemented curriculum and was grade level co-chair for leadership and development support.

Whitney earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law, and she completed a Bachelor of Arts in English from Emory University. She serves on Diversity Committee of The Museum School Board of Directors. She and her husband Hosea have two children.
