Hall Booth Smith Adds Three New Partners in New York City Office
NEW YORK, NY – October 6, 2020 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to welcome three experienced partners to its growing office in New York City as the firm expands its medical malpractice team.
Anthony “Tony” Venditto is a Partner with three decades of experience in the courtroom. He has defended numerous hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, dentists and other healthcare professionals in complex medical malpractice cases such as wrongful death, birth trauma and catastrophic injury. He also defends individuals and corporations in general liability, automobile liability, lead paint, premises liability and other civil litigation matters. Earlier in his career, Venditto served as an Assistant District Attorney in the office of New York County District Attorney Robert M. Morgenthau, where he prosecuted narcotics and other street crimes. He earned a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law J.D., and B.A. in public administration at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.
Nicole A. Callahan is a Partner who has defended the rights of hospitals, nursing homes, physicians and other professionals in medical malpractice claims and other civil litigation matters in both federal and state courts for more than 15 years. She has extensive experience in intellectual property matters, including pharmaceutical and medical device patent cases, and she also handles premises liability lawsuits. Nicole earned a J.D., cum laude, and a Certificate in Health Law from Pace University School of Law. She also earned a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, and a B.A., cum laude, in neuroscience with a minor in health and human development from Lehigh University.
Todd Gilbert is a Partner who concentrates his practice on high-risk medical malpractice, complex personal injury and healthcare law matters. He has extensive experience in developing sophisticated and strategic trial strategies, and he serves as outside general counsel for several corporations. Previously in his career, Gilbert was in-house legal counsel for a prominent medical malpractice carrier in New York, and he has represented national clients in New York and Connecticut on various litigation matters. Todd earned a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, and he completed a B.A. in finance from Adelphi University. He serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations in New Canaan, Connecticut.
