Todd Gilbert
Biography
Todd Gilbert is a Partner in our White Plains office, and he concentrates his defense practice on medical malpractice, complex personal injury, transportation and healthcare law matters.
He represents hospitals, physicians and other healthcare professionals in a wide range of high-exposure malpractice and negligence matters, and he has extensive experience in developing sophisticated trial strategies. He serves as outside general counsel for several corporations.
Earlier in his career, he worked as in-house legal counsel for a prominent medical malpractice carrier in New York. In addition to handling healthcare matters, Todd represents clients in professional liability and other health care law issues. He has also represented national clients in in New York and Connecticut handling their various litigation matters.
Todd earned a Juris Doctorate degree from St. John’s University School of Law, and he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from Adelphi University. He serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations in New Canaan, Connecticut, and provides pro bono legal services for Grace Community Church, New Canaan Service League and other local organizations.
Experience
Todd has an extensive medical malpractice defense practice in which he represents hospitals, physicians and other healthcare professionals in high-risk lawsuits such as catastrophic injury. He has handled claims on behalf of carriers and national clients involving high-risk cases including Dram Shop, Labor Law, Transportation, Negligent Security, et al. He has many years of trial strategy and courtroom experience, and serves as outside general counsel for several corporations.
Todd defends numerous hospitals, physicians and other healthcare professionals in complex medical malpractice lawsuits. He has extensive experience in developing sophisticated trial strategies and representing clients in the courtroom in catastrophic injury and other high-risk cases.
Todd has been retained to defend national clients in various aspects of litigation involving general liability claims. He has handled claims on behalf of carriers involving high-risk cases including Dram Shop, Labor Law, Transportation, Negligent Security, et al.
