HBS Sponsors Successful Fundraising Concert
On December 6, Hall Booth Smith (HBS) sponsored a charity concert organized by Decatur-based non-profit Poverty is Real. The concert, held at the 40 Watt Club in Athens, raised funds to support Whatever It Takes, an Athens-based non-profit organization working to eliminate local poverty by supporting education. The money raised by the event will go towards their goal of ensuring that every child in Athens-Clarke County will be on course to graduate from a post-secondary education by 2020.
This event was the second successful concert put on by Poverty Is Real, an organization that combats poverty in local communities by organizing fundraising concerts to support organizations that fight poverty and homelessness. Poverty Is Real is planning their next concert, which will likely take place in Nashville, Tennessee.
Hall Booth Smith currently has eight regional offices in Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. The firm has recently opened its first international office in Tbilisi, Georgia. HBS takes great pride in serving its community and maintains a strong dedication to numerous philanthropic causes. HBS also encourages its attorneys to get involved in making a difference in the lives of others. HBS is pleased to have been involved with the tremendous success of this event and is hopeful that the monies raised will go a long way towards breaking the cycle of poverty.
