Jack Gresh is proud to be the managing partner of the Charleston, SC office where he and the firm continue to serve their clients' needs throughout the region. Mr. Gresh attended the University of Georgia for a degree in economics where he received the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award and graduated cum laude. Thereafter, Mr. Gresh returned to Atlanta to obtain his Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University College of Law, where he also graduated cum laude.
Since 2012, Mr. Gresh has consistently been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Professional Negligence Defense by Thompson Reuters, a designation awarded to only the top 2.5 percent of lawyers in South Carolina in this practice area. With a significant portion of his practice relating to the defense of the healthcare professionals and the entities in which they provide care, Mr. Gresh has defended facilities and professionals providing skilled nursing, assisted living, hospice and other elderly services in cases ranging from decubitus ulcers, resident abuse and neglect, transfer injuries, failure to thrive and other allegations. He has handled these cases in state courts, federal courts, arbitrations, and within the class action framework.
Mr. Gresh has significant experience in litigating many different types of civil litigation, including numerous general liability claims. He has represented apartment owners, hospitals, homeowners, and other owners and occupiers of land in many different types of premises liability actions where injuries ranged from the soft tissue injury to the more significant cases of rape, neurologic impairment and death.
Mr. Gresh has successfully defended manufacturers, distributors, and vendors in products liability actions in both state and federal courts. Moreover, Mr. Gresh is a part of the HBS Rapid Response Team for products liability defense wherein he can quickly deliver legal advice to those dealing with a crisis.
Mr. Gresh has represented a number of different non-medical professionals in cases involving professional negligence and other claims, including defending lawyers, home inspectors, and real-estate agents.
Mr. Gresh has defended hospitals, physicians, nurses, dentists, staffing agencies, and other medical defendants in medical malpractice cases involving alleged negligent care and treatment, negligent misdiagnosis, lack of consent, and wrongful death. Additionally, Mr. Gresh has extensive experience in cases of obstetrical malpractice and neurologic injury.
