Mr. Kerenyi is Of Counsel at Hall Booth Smith's Atlanta office where he specializes in various areas of litigation and transactional work. Mr. Kerenyi received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1994 from Cornell University (where he was named to the Dean's List), and obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2000 from Georgia State University College of Law. During law school, Mr. Kerenyi was on Moot Court and clerked for the Honorable Justice P. Harris Hines of The Supreme Court of Georgia. After being admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2000, Mr. Kerenyi began his career at HBS and has since practiced extensively in the areas of medical malpractice and personal injury litigation, and Intellectual Property/Entertainment law. Mr. Kerenyi also has experience in the areas of business litigation, retail liability, corporate formation, and appellate work. Prior to relocating to Atlanta in 1995, Mr. Kerenyi was a native of New York City, and had the good fortune to travel and see much of the world including North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
Mr. Kerenyi has successfully represented hospitals, physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, and other individual medical care providers in professional negligence lawsuits and state composite board hearings. In so doing, Mr. Kerenyi has acquired experience defending cases involving allegations of negligent care and treatment, negligent misdiagnosis, negligent referral, negligent misadministration of medication, surgical battery, and lack of consent. The factual circumstances of this casework has covered a wide array of medical issues including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, internal medicine, obstetrics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, pharmocology, plastic surgery, pulmonology, radiology, and wound care. He is the son of a physician.
