Andrew Hazen is an associate in Hall Booth Smith, P.C.'s Atlanta office and focuses his practice in the areas of Agriculture, Construction and Healthcare. Andrew assists both large and small agribusinesses with corporate and regulatory matters, including entity formation, asset purchases, licensing, leasing, real estate, and state and federal regulatory compliance, as well as tort liability and business litigation. In addition, he represents clients in the construction and healthcare industries in professional liability, general liability, and business litigation matters. He is admitted to practice in all Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia.
Andrew received his Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law, where he graduated cum laude and with highest pro bono distinction. He served on the Georgia State University Law Review and was awarded CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in his Research, Writing and Advocacy, Contracts, Litigation, and Security Interests and Liens courses. Prior to law school, Andrew received his Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Davidson College and attended Emory University’s Candler School of Theology for Graduate Studies in Theology.
Andrew represents doctors, nurses, and healthcare facilities in medical malpractice litigation. He has successfully defended clients in birth trauma, surgical, ER, and correctional healthcare malpractice claims. Andrew also works with healthcare clients on appeals and has authored several successful applications for interlocutory appeal and appellate briefs in medical malpractice cases.
