Brigadier General Robert L. Shannon, Jr., was selected to attend and was admitted by Harvard to attend the John F. Kennedy School of Government's Leadership in Crisis Program. Admission to this program is competitive and is based on professional achievement and organizational responsibility. The Program prepares senior leaders in government, private and nonprofit sectors to position themselves and their organizations to prepare, survive, manage and recover from the large scale unexpected events. The Kennedy School limits participation and there is a waitlist for admission to this program. General Shannon was previously selected and completed Northern Command's Joint Task Force Commanders Course in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
