HBS Welcomes Two New Attorneys to Brunswick office
BRUNSWICK, GEORGIA – Dec. 5, 2019 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to welcome two new associates as its office in Brunswick, Georgia, grows to meet client needs for medical malpractice defense, liability and variety of other litigation matters.
Michael Chas Whitehead defends physicians and other health care providers in medical malpractice cases, and he also represents clients in general liability and governmental liability claims. He was previously a clerk at HBS’s Brunswick office, and he also clerked at another firm in the Brunswick area. Whitehead earned a J.D. from Mercer University, and a B.S. from Georgia Southern University.
Matt Balcer focuses his practice on business litigation matters as well as labor and employment, products liability, medical malpractice and health care cases. He was previously a law clerk at HBS as well as other firms in Macon and Atlanta, and he served as a fellow at the Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys. Balcer earned a J.D., cum laude, from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, where he was Administrative Editor for the Mercer Law Review. He also completed a B.A. at the University of Southern Mississippi.
