Colton J. Carpenter
Biography
Colton J. Carpenter is an associate in our Atlanta, focusing on premises liability and transportation matters.
Prior to joining HBS, Colton was a paratechnical legal associate with the Carl Vinson Institute of Government, where he assisted in reviewing, drafting, and presenting ordinances in Dekalb County’s new charter. He also clerked for the Honorable Amanda Mercier with the Georgia Court of Appeals.
Colton earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia, where he was the executive online editor for the Georgia Criminal Law Review. He was also president of the First Generation Student Association and an executive board member of the National Lawyers Guild. Colton earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard University. While there, he was editor of the Harvard Crimson and a staff writer on the Harvard Political Review.
