Hall Booth Smith, P.C. Adds Jennifer Lopez as an Associate in Buffalo

Hall Booth Smith, P.C. has added Jennifer Lopez as an associate attorney in its Buffalo office, where she focuses her practice on defending healthcare providers in long-term care and medical malpractice matters.

Jennifer brings experience representing corporate and individual clients in litigation involving healthcare and general casualty claims. Her background in legal research and writing for the judiciary, combined with prior public interest advocacy, provides a strong foundation for her litigation practice.

Before entering private practice, Jennifer served as a legal fellow with the New York State Unified Court System’s Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission. In that role, she worked with judges throughout the Eighth Judicial District by assisting with legal research, drafting decisions on motions, and preparing memoranda on civil law issues.

During law school, Jennifer focused much of her advocacy work on disability and aging justice. Through clinic work, she served as a court evaluator in an Article 81 guardianship matter and assisted in preparing a rebuttal on behalf of an individual with disabilities in a discrimination case before the New York City Commission on Human Rights. She also served as Managing Editor of CUNY Law Review.

Jennifer earned her Juris Doctor from the City University of New York School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The City College of New York.

She is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. She is a member of the Erie County Bar Association.
