Hall Booth Smith Adds Associate Saniya Pangare to Asheville Office

Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is pleased to announce that Saniya Pangare has joined the firm’s Asheville office as an Associate. Her practice focuses on appellate matters, general liability, governmental liability, medical malpractice, and professional malpractice and ethics.

“We are delighted to welcome Saniya back to Hall Booth Smith after her time with us as a summer associate,” said Asheville Managing Partner Adam Peoples. “Her strong research and writing skills, analytical background, and commitment to the profession will make her a tremendous addition to our Asheville team and an asset to our clients.”

Saniya represents clients in a variety of civil litigation matters, drawing on a strong foundation in legal research, writing, and advocacy. Before joining HBS as an Associate, she previously worked with the firm as a summer associate, assisting attorneys on active litigation matters.

Saniya also completed an externship with the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, where she researched legal issues and assisted chambers with pending appellate matters. She also served as a legal intern with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Office of Institutional Integrity and General Counsel, assisting with policy development, regulatory compliance, and contractual matters.

Before pursuing a career in law, Saniya worked as a research associate at Duke University, where she focused on evolutionary genetics research. That scientific and analytical background continues to inform her detailed and methodical approach to legal challenges.

Saniya earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Elon University School of Law, where she served as Symposium Editor of the Elon Law Review. She also held leadership roles with the student mentor program and pro bono board and served as a teaching assistant for the legal writing program. She received the David Gergen Award for Leadership and Professionalism in 2025.

Saniya earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology, summa cum laude, from North Carolina State University.
