Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is pleased to announce that Amitisse Noohi and Jed Henrichsen have joined the firm’s New York City office as Associates.

Amitisse Noohi

Amitisse’s practice focuses on the defense of healthcare providers in complex medical malpractice matters, as well as general liability, appellate and premises liability litigation.

Amitisse assists clients with early liability and damages evaluations, expert coordination, discovery, motion practice and the development of litigation strategies aligned with client and carrier objectives. She has a particular background in summary judgment motion practice and has worked on matters resulting in favorable outcomes including dismissals and negotiated settlements.

Before joining HBS, Amitisse practiced with a New York defense firm, where she represented major hospital systems and healthcare providers in medical malpractice litigation. Her work included legal and medical research, depositions, discovery, expert coordination, motion practice and trial preparation.

Earlier in her career, Amitisse worked with the opioid group of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey, assisting with investigations and prosecutions involving healthcare and regulatory matters. She also completed a health law externship with the general counsel’s office of a major hospital system.

Amitisse earned her Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law, where she concentrated her studies in Health Law and Business Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of San Francisco, with minors in Middle Eastern Studies and Legal Studies.

Jed Henrichsen

Jed’s practice focuses on national litigation, including batch claims, complex discovery and trial support, as well as aging services, health care, medical malpractice and professional liability matters.

Jed works with counsel across the country to assist in developing damages strategies in a broad range of cases. He also serves as monitoring and supervisory counsel in high-exposure and catastrophic professional liability matters.

Before joining HBS, Jed was an associate at a large international law firm, where he worked on complex civil disputes and counseled clients on regulatory and insurance matters. Following law school, he also provided legal guidance and limited-scope representation to pro se litigants in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Jed earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where he was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient and was selected as a New York State Pro Bono Scholar. He served as President of the Employment and Labor Law Student Association and completed judicial and public service internships with the New York State Supreme Court and the New York State Division of Human Rights. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Sewanee: The University of the South.
