Asha Armistead
Biography
Asha Armistead is an associate in the Raleigh office, where she concentrates her practice on medical malpractice defense and the representation of healthcare providers.
Before joining HBS, Asha gained valuable experience as a summer associate with another local law firm, where she assisted in drafting legal documents and participating in depositions, mediations, and trial proceedings. She also worked as a summer intern in the Office of General Counsel at Furman University, supporting the legal team with research and drafting memoranda on a wide range of issues. Earlier in her career, Asha was also a paralegal, where she gained experience assisting with settlement negotiations.
Asha earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she was project coordinator for the healthcare advocacy pro bono project. She was also the Treasurer for Awaken: The Creative Journal of Contemporary Bioethics, which was a journal dedicated to exploring the field of bioethics. She earned her B.A., magna cum laude, in Philosophy of Law, with minors in Political Science and English, from North Carolina State University. During her undergraduate studies, she was involved in the Pre-Law Students Association and the American Justice Corps mentoring program.
