Chris L. Fox is a Partner in our Oklahoma City office, and he has more than 20 years of experience defending health care providers, insurers and professionals in a wide range of medical malpractice litigation. He works closely with each client to develop legal strategies for each matter and set a comprehensive litigation approach that aligns with business goals while minimizing exposure and risk.

Chris represents hospitals, long-term care facilities, healthcare systems, physician practice groups, insurers and other health care professionals in complex and high-exposure cases such as catastrophic injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, amputation, misdiagnosis, wrongful diagnosis, negligence, and many other high-risk matters. He also represents clients in internal investigations, licensing and regulatory matters, and during administrative procedures.

He has extensive experience resolving employment matters, corporate and commercial developments, product liability, general liability and many other commercial litigation disputes. Chris represents clients through trial, mediation, settlement negotiations and appeal, and has litigated countless matters in both state and federal courts.

Before joining Hall Booth Smith in 2021, Chris co-founded his own practice with other partners in the Oklahoma City neighborhood of Edmond. They grew the firm into a specialized medical malpractice litigation defense practice with clients all over Oklahoma and beyond. Chris earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he was selected for the Outstanding Achievement Award in Moot Court and won the AmJur Award in Trial Techniques. He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in letters at the University of Oklahoma, where he played collegiate soccer and held several scholastic leadership and philanthropic roles.
