Corby Covalt
Biography
Corby Covalt is an Associate attorney in the Oklahoma City office of Hall Booth Smith. His practice focuses on health care, medical malpractice, and professional malpractice & ethics.
Corby represents physicians, hospitals, health systems, and other health care providers in complex medical malpractice litigation. He has experience defending health care professionals through every stage of litigation, including initial investigation, case evaluation, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and resolution.
Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith, Corby spent five years with a respected Oklahoma City defense firm representing some of the largest health care providers in Oklahoma in medical malpractice actions. His background also includes legal internships with both a leading Oklahoma health insurer and a major hospital system, providing him with a well-rounded understanding of the legal and operational challenges facing health care organizations.
Corby earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Political Science/Pre-Law from Oklahoma State University with minors in Philosophy and Ethical Leadership. Corby was also a chosen participant to attend the annual trial academy hosted by the International Association of Defense Counsel in 2023.
