Dana Woodall
Biography
Dana Woodall is a seasoned litigator with nearly two decades of experience spanning criminal law, family law, public service, and agency leadership. She currently brings her deep understanding of complex legal issues to clients throughout Georgia and the Southeast, with a particular emphasis on governmental liability, health care, long term care, labor & employment, and medical malpractice matters.
Prior to entering private practice, Dana served as Chief Legal Officer and Executive Counsel for the Georgia Department of Labor, where she advised the Commissioner and led both the Office of General Counsel and the Unemployment Insurance Legal Services division. She also served as Interim Chief Operating Officer and Interim Chief Information Officer, demonstrating a breadth of leadership across legal and operational domains.
Dana previously practiced as a criminal defense and family law attorney at a litigation firm, representing clients in State, Superior, and Federal court. Earlier in her career, she spent several years with the Gwinnett County Office of the Solicitor-General, ultimately serving as Deputy Chief Assistant Solicitor. During her tenure, she helped establish the Veterans Treatment Court and spearheaded innovative diversion initiatives aimed at addressing mental health and substance use challenges.
Dana began her legal career as an Assistant Attorney General in Washington, D.C., representing the District in high-stakes civil commitment, guardianship, and mental health cases.
