Biography

Daniel Gilliam is an associate in the Oklahoma City office, where he supports the firm’s general liability and medical malpractice practices.

During his time with HBS as a summer associate, Daniel gained hands-on experience conducting legal research, analyzing medical records, and preparing deposition summaries. He also participated in client and expert meetings, contributing to the development of effective case strategies.

Previously, Daniel externed for the Honorable Judge Brian Goree at the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals, where he analyzed appellate cases, researched a broad range of legal issues, and drafted memoranda to support judicial decision-making. He also served as a legal intern with the Administrative Office of the Courts at the Supreme Court of Oklahoma, where he monitored statutory changes, edited legislative updates for the OSCN website, and assisted with the Oklahoma judicial conference.

Daniel earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he ranked in the top five of his class and received eleven CALI Awards. While in law school, Daniel was a member of the law review, an academic fellow, and a peer mentor. He earned his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

In addition to his academic and professional experience, Daniel has formal training in civil mediation through the Supreme Court of Oklahoma’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program.
