Evan M. O’Hara

366 Madison Ave
5th Floor
New York, NY 10017

Evan M. O’Hara is an Associate in our office in New York City and he concentrates his practice on medical malpractice and aging services lawsuits.

Evan has extensive experience in defending individual physicians, hospitals, and other corporate health care providers in Connecticut and New York state courts. He has handled numerous cases from initial filing and analyzation of legal and factual claims, to pleadings, court-mandated conferences, discovery, motion practice, depositions, expert witness preparation and cross-examination, and trial.  He has trial experience representing radiologists, cardiologists, emergency physicians, surgeons, as well as nursing homes.

Evan also has extensive experience with complex high-exposure non-medical cases, including representing firearms manufacturers, retailers and shooting ranges nationwide in a variety of lawsuits including claims of products liability, and noise-induced hearing loss.

Before turning his focus to the law, Evan worked as sales representative for a multinational pharmaceutical company promoting medications for the treatment of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.  This gives him valuable insight into factors that often play a role in malpractice litigation claims and the pressures health care providers face in assessing drugs, side effects, and suitability for treatment.

Evan earned a Juris Doctorate degree, magna cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he served as Associate Editor of the Quinnipiac Law Review. He was a member of the Quinnipiac Mock Trial Society, and served on the Judicial Board of the Student Bar Association and the Faculty Selection Committee for a Tenure Track Health Law Professor. He also completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Union College in Schenectady, New York.
