Hall Booth Smith Adds Three Attorneys to New York City Office
Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) has expanded its New York City office with the addition of Of Counsel Peter F. O’Connor and Associates Emory D. Kincaid and Hannah Schuh. Together, they broaden the office’s capabilities in aging services, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, general liability, commercial disputes, corporate governance, and private client matters.

Peter O’Connor joins the firm as Of Counsel in the New York City office’s litigation and private client practices.
His work includes commercial disputes, general liability, insurance coverage, labor and employment, corporate governance, wills and estate matters, and outside general counsel services. He advises clients on legal and business issues involving internal operations, external strategy, and regulatory compliance.
Peter earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University.
He is admitted to practice in New York, before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Emory Kincaid is an Associate who focuses his practice on aging services and also supports clients in high-exposure professional liability, medical malpractice, and insurance coverage matters.
Before joining HBS, Emory worked as a Summer Associate in the firm’s Charleston office, assisting attorneys with civil litigation and insurance defense matters. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Brian Epps, U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Georgia, where he conducted legal research, drafted judicial documents, and observed court proceedings and mediations.
Emory earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and served on the Honor Court hearing panel. He received his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Arkansas, where he studied criminology, political science, and sociology.
He is admitted to practice in New York.
Hannah Schuh is an Associate whose practice includes aging services, health care, general liability, and medical malpractice matters.
Hannah previously completed judicial externships with the Washington State Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. In those roles, they researched complex legal issues, assisted with judicial opinions, and gained experience with both state and federal court proceedings.
They also previously worked in HBS’s New York City office as a records clerk, supporting attorneys handling long-term care litigation and assisting with case materials and client correspondence.
Hannah earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Washington School of Law, where they served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Washington Law Review and captain of the National Environmental Moot Court Team. They earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Pace University and is admitted to practice in New York.
