Emory D. Kincaid
Biography
Emory D. Kincaid is an associate in the New York City office where he is part of the aging services practice group. Emory also provides support on high-exposure professional liability matters and insurance coverage matters.
Before joining HBS, Emory gained valuable experience as a Summer Associate in the firm’s Charleston, SC office, where he supported attorneys in a variety of civil litigation and insurance defense matters. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Brian Epps, Magistrate Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, where he conducted legal research, drafted judicial documents, and observed mediations and proceedings.
Earlier in his career, Emory worked as a Summer Clerk with an Atlanta based law firm, assisting with trial preparation, depositions, and motion practice in complex litigation. He also previously interned with the Office of Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney in Washington, D.C., researching legislative issues and supporting the introduction of new federal legislation.
Emory earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served on the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law Editorial Board and was a member of the honor court hearing panel. He also held leadership roles as secretary of the Real Estate and Property Organization.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Criminology, Political Science, and Sociology from the University of Arkansas. While there, he was recognized as a “Senior of Significance,” was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, served as Vice President of the Interfraternity Council, and was a member of the Associated Student Government Executive Cabinet.
