Jeff Warren is an Associate in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has focused his practice on medical malpractice, governmental liability, first amendment, transportation, and other general and professional liability matters.  Jeff is a cooperating attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. Jeff holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he served as President of the UNC Law Class of 2018. While attending UNC, Jeff was the 2016 Kirkpatrick Townsend Mock Trial State Champion, a regional finalist in the 2018 Texas Young Lawyers Association National Trial Competition, and was selected as a member of the Order of the Barristers. In addition, Jeff was nationally recognized for outstanding oral and written appellate advocacy, winning the Charleston School of Law National Moot Court Competition and receiving an individual award for excellence in appellate advocacy.

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Arts in history, cum laude, from Rhodes College, where he was President of the Rhodes College Class of 2014, Editor-In-Chief of the Rhodes College Historical Review, and a member of the Phi Alpha Theta National Honor Society.

Before coming to Hall Booth Smith, Jeff served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Lucy N. Inman of the North Carolina Court of Appeals and for the Honorable Max O. Cogburn, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. Jeff also served as an intern with the North Carolina Department of Justice, and, prior to attending law school, worked as a litigation paralegal.
