Julia Kavanagh is a Partner in the Memphis office of Hall Booth Smith, practicing in professional negligence/medical malpractice, products liability, aging services, health care and general liability.

She has a decade of experience representing hospital systems, nursing homes and long-term care facilities, physicians and other healthcare providers in state and federal court. Additionally, Julia handles products liability, premises liability, insurance defense and general civil litigation matters.

Julia received a Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2009, graduating summa cum laude, and she was a member of the University of Memphis Law Review. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Knox College.

Julia is an active participant in the Memphis Bar Association, serving as Vice Chair of the CLE Committee and she served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers’ Division. She is a Memphis Bar Association Leadership Forum graduate, and a former Dress for Success Memphis Board Member. Julia has been named a Mid-South Rising Star by Mid-South Super Lawyers every year since 2013.

A native of Boise, Idaho, Julia enjoys camping, hiking, running and other outdoor activities. Julia is a former musician and enjoys listening to and seeing live music.
