Kristin Siegel
Biography
Kristin Siegel is an associate in the Oklahoma City office of Hall Booth Smith, where she focuses her practice on general liability, governmental liability, insurance coverage, medical malpractice, premises liability, and products liability matters.
Prior to joining HBS, Kristin served as the Senior Deputy General Counsel for the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA), which regulates medical marijuana businesses and patients. In this role, she prosecuted hundreds of complex regulatory cases to uphold public health and safety standards. Kristin also defended the State of Oklahoma in injunction and appellate actions to ensure the continued enforcement of statutory mandates. Her work included drafting statutory and regulatory language aimed at creating efficient and effective governance frameworks.
Before her time at OMMA, Kristin was an attorney at Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, where she represented hundreds of indigent survivors of domestic abuse. She also developed and led an eviction defense clinic during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping to keep vulnerable Oklahomans housed.
Kristin earned her Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School and graduated magna cum laude with distinction from Georgia State University with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in philosophy and political science. During law school she worked at Tulane Law School’s Domestic Violence Clinic as a student attorney, representing survivors of domestic violence in protective order actions. Kristin also interned for the Honorable Jerry D. Bass and the Honorable Barbara G. Swinton in Oklahoma County.
