Leesa Guarnotta is an Associate in our Atlanta office, and concentrates her practice in the healthcare, regulatory, and long-term care/aging services areas. She has represented skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes in litigation related to both general and professional liability claims. In addition, Leesa is experienced in various facets of facility operations including regulatory compliance, media relations, involuntary discharges, and securing guardians and conservators. She has also assisted clients with responses to OSHA investigations, the False Claims Act, Stark, and Anti- Kickback, and requests for medical records.

As a member of the HBS Coronavirus Task Force and Aging Services Practice Group, Leesa defends providers facing liability claims arising from the coronavirus pandemic in the complex litigation setting where fast-changing regulation intersects with novel legal issues.

Leesa completed a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in philosophy from Georgia State University. She also earned Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Mercer University School of Law.
