Lindsay M. Shewalter

Attorney at Law

Biography

Lindsay Shewalter is an associate in our Atlanta office, where she focuses her practice on general liability, premises liability, government liability, and commercial litigation matters.

Previously Lindsay also served as a summer associate with Hall Booth Smith, assisting attorneys on employment and governmental liability matters. She also gained valuable litigation experience as a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, where she supported the prosecution of interstate and international narcotics cases. In that role, she conducted legal research, drafted motions, and assisted with trial preparation in drug trafficking and money laundering prosecutions.

During law school, Lindsay worked closely with Assistant Dean of Student Success, Tameka Lester, at Georgia State University College of Law. She also served as a registered mediator with the school’s Landlord–Tenant Mediation Clinic, where she mediated disputes on behalf of low-income tenants, including those in subsidized housing. She was also an active member of the Moot Court Team, both competing and coaching, and discovered her passion for advocacy through oral argument.

Lindsay earned her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, with a minor in Sociology from the University of Georgia, where she was involved in the Student Government Association and served as Director of Sustainability.

Outside the office, Lindsay enjoys traveling, having visited 28 countries, as well as spending time at the barre studio, cooking or baking, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs. A lover of the fine arts, she also finds inspiration in music, dance, and visual art.
