Linnea Frances Cheek
Biography
Linnea Frances Cheek is an associate in the Denver office, where she focuses her practice on construction, dental, medical malpractice, and premises liability matters. She represents clients through all phases of litigation and provides strategic support in complex liability cases.
Linnea started with the firm as a summer associate, where she gained critical skills in writing, legal reasoning, and diligent case management. Linnea was given the valuable opportunity to draft memoranda, discovery materials, and dispositive motions.
Linnea also worked as a law clerk with a Denver-based firm, where she researched and analyzed a wide range of complex legal issues across civil and criminal matters. Her work included drafting memoranda on constitutional defenses, class certification issues, and procedural matters, as well as organizing case materials and coordinating client communications.
Earlier in her career, Linnea served as a Congressional Intern for U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper, where she assisted with constituent services and contributed to policy-related communications with federal and local stakeholders.
Linnea received her J.D. from the University of Colorado and her B.A. in Political Science, from St. Olaf College. While in law school, Linnea participated in a Civil Practice Clinic where she represented clients directly. This responsibility early on strengthened her advocacy skills and provided valuable courtroom exposure. She also was a member of the Barrister’s Council, competed in yearly moot court competitions, and served as President of Colorado Law’s Innocence Project for all three years of law school.
