Stewart G. Milch is Of Counsel in our New York City office, and he has 30 years of legal experience representing clients in hundreds of cases in federal and state courts as well as through the appellate process.

Stewart protects the rights of clients in complex and high-exposure cases, including trucking and motor vehicle accidents, construction site accidents, premises liability, products liability and other risky cases.

He also focuses his practice on professional liability, directors and officers liability, insurance brokerage claims disputes, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, tortious interference with business relationships and a wide range of other commercial and business litigation.

Stewart advocates for both individuals and major corporations in federal court and state courts in New York and numerous other states. He has briefed and argued more than 100 appeals in New York, New Jersey, Texas, California and several federal circuit courts to preserve hard-fought victories or overturn unfavorable outcomes.

Stewart earned a Juris Doctorate degree from New York Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Hobart College in Geneva, New York. He has also worked as an adjunct professor of legal writing at the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law.

 

EXPERIENCE

Stewart has three decades of experience defending clients in high-risk cases in federal and state courts, as well as on appeal. He specializes in complex and large-exposure litigation including motor vehicle and trucking accidents, construction accidents, premises liability and products liability. He also handles a wide range of business litigation, and counsels clients through the appellate process in an effort to overturn negative outcomes or protect legal victories.
