William B. Podres, III is an Associate in our office in Brunswick, Georgia, and he defends hospitals, correctional facilities, physicians and other health care providers in medical malpractice and negligence lawsuits. He also defends trucking companies and insurers in transportation related lawsuits.

Earlier in his career, William was a summer associate at HBS and he served as a legal intern with the Georgia Lottery Corporation. He worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Lisa Godbey Wood of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia.

William earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of the Mock Trial Executive Board. He also worked in the Oconee County District Attorney’s Office, and worked in the University of Georgia Veterans Clinic to help veterans obtain benefits through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and the Social Security Administration.

He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in political science at Georgia College & State University, where he was Director of Student Security for the Georgia College Police Department in Milledgeville, Georgia. He was a Founding Father of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity chapter, and served in the Student Government Association.
