Hall Booth Smith’s Jacksonville Office Adds Two New Associates

Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to announce the addition of two new associates at its growing office in Jacksonville, Florida.

Henry P. Romeu specializes in medical malpractice, general liability and transportation defense work, and Shawn J. Brooks focuses his practice on professional negligence and medical malpractice, health care, general liability, products liability and transportation matters.

They join an expanding office in Jacksonville that is led by Managing Partner J. Brent Allen and includes Partners Jill F. Bechtold and Franklin Duke Regan, Of Counsel Rayford H. Taylor and Associates Kirk A. Carter, Ashley M. Fromm and Adam Prom.

Earlier in his career, Romeu practiced at other Florida firms and has defended clients on a wide variety of cases. He earned a Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Business Administration at the University of Florida, where he graduated with honors. He also attended the International Association of Defense Counsel Trial Academy at Stanford Law School.

Brooks previously worked at a large defense firm in Miami handling a wide variety of civil litigation cases, and has represented hospitals, health systems, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals all over the Sunshine State. He earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida with Honors.
