Hall Booth Smith Welcomes Associate Brittany Langley to Athens Office

Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is pleased to announce that Brittany Langley has joined the firm’s Athens office as an Associate. Brittany focuses on medical malpractice defense, representing physicians, nurses, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals and entities.

“Brittany brings to our Athens team a unique combination of: hands-on litigation experience; sharp, natural instincts; exceptional legal research and writing skills; and strong appellate insight,” said Athens Managing Partner Christian Henry. “Her background gives her a valuable perspective on complex cases, and we are excited to have her joining the firm.”

Before becoming an attorney, Brittany spent more than a decade working as a litigation paralegal in Georgia, gaining extensive experience throughout every stage of the litigation process. She assisted with case strategy, pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, trial preparation, and client matters across a broad range of civil litigation.

While working full time, Brittany earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as a research and teaching assistant in legal ethics.

Following law school, Brittany joined the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, first serving as a central staff attorney and later as a chambers staff attorney to Chief Judge William H. Pryor, Jr.  In those roles, she analyzed complex civil and criminal appeals, drafted appellate opinions and legal memoranda, reviewed extensive trial court records, and applied appellate precedent to significant legal issues.

Brittany draws on both her litigation and appellate experience to evaluate cases strategically, anticipate legal issues, and develop persuasive arguments on behalf of healthcare clients throughout the litigation process.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Georgia State University.
