As the Atlanta-based firm administrator for full-service law firm Hall Booth Smith, P.C., Cathey Turner has overall management responsibility for nine offices in Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia.

Turner has extensive legal background, with experience in human resources, legislative affairs and lobbying, paralegal education and management. She joined the firm as a human resources manager back in 2007, and became know for attending and assisting with firm events that aren’t her responsibility to handle.

Turner is a finalist for Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Employee of the Year Award in the Medium Company category.

Director Nina Tickaradze, who nominated Turner, said it is an “absolute privilege” to work alongside her. “She knows how to go the extra mile to make sure that everyone at the firm feels appreciated and valued,” Tickaradze said on the nomination form.

In 2013, the firm had several delegations of judges from the country of Georgia visiting, and Turner took time to host them. She also implemented new HR software for the firm that made it easier for employees to collect information, exchange data and complete their benefits enrollment.
