HBS Hosts High-level Dubai Trade Delegation

Hall Booth Smith attorneys John Parkerson and Brad Carver hosted breakfast discussions for a high-level trade delegation from the Government of Dubai, U.A.E., at HBS offices March 26, 2015.  Delegation members included representatives from Dubai’s Department of Economic Development, Dubai Investment Development Agency, Dubai Free Trade Zones, and the US Commercial Service-Dubai.  The World Trade Center Atlanta (Parkerson is immediate past President and current Board member) and HBS coordinated the 2.5 day trade mission with participation from the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Georgia Department of Economic Development, City of Atlanta, Georgia Foreign-Trade Zone, and UPS.  Mr. Carver, Senior Managing Director of HBS’ Government Affairs practice, arranged delegation meetings with Commissioner of Agriculture Gary Black and a recognition proclamation from the Georgia House of Representatives.  The delegation also met Atlanta City Council members, including President Ceasar Mitchell; and officials from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, including General Manager Miguel Southwell.  Several Dubai trade delegates and HBS attorneys are shown in the two photographs taken at HBS.
