HBS Opens New Office in Memphis, Tennessee

Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is pleased to announce the opening of its newest office in Memphis, Tennessee, which will be led by partners Jennifer Harrison and Charles Moody. They bring years of legal expertise and familiarity with the local bar and courts.
“We are excited to continue our expansion in Tennessee, with the opening of an office in Memphis, a location where a significant number of our clients do business,” said James Looper, a partner in the firm’s Nashville office.  “We have been honored to try cases in Memphis over the last ten years and hope our Memphis office will be of service to our clients and the community,” said Karl Braun, Nashville partner.
Jennifer Harrison focuses her practice on the defense of professional liability, medical malpractice, and general liability cases, as well as handling other healthcare related matters.  She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in the specialty of medical malpractice.  Ms. Harrison received her law degree from the University of Memphis, her L.L.M. from Temple University, and is licensed in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.  “Ms. Callins and I are excited to join Hall Booth Smith and open the new Memphis office,” said Harrison.  “It is a great opportunity to serve the Memphis-area medical community, as well as the interests of our other clients in Memphis.”
Charles Moody, partner in the firm’s Nashville office has been with Hall Booth Smith since 2006.  Moody who has long standing ties with Memphis, grew up in  Memphis and worked as a law clerk for the late Tennessee Supreme Court Justice William H. D. Fones. Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith, he practiced for 20 years in Texas, and is licensed in Tennessee and Texas.  Mr. Moody is a graduate of Memphis State University school of law and focuses his practice on the defense of long-term care facilities, hospitals and other healthcare providers.
Lauren Callins is a graduate of the University of Memphis school of law.  She also focuses her practice on the representation of healthcare providers and in doing so draws from her experience as a member of the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute.
