HBS participates in the 15th Annual ServiceJuris Day

Hall Booth Smith joined ServiceJuris and Hands on Atlanta for the 15th Annual ServiceJuris Day, a community service day in which more than 300 members of Atlanta’s legal community gather together to make a difference in our city. On Saturday, June 14th attorneys and staff of HBS were able to give a facelift to the Kirkwood Mental Health Center through painting, building outdoor furniture and landscaping.
Since the inception of ServiceJuris, more than 5,000 volunteers have contributed more than 21,000 hours of service – enriching the learning environments for more than 3,000 public school students, renovating nine neighborhood parks and enabling more than 6,500 people to utilize their community centers.
This year’s ServiceJuris beneficiaries were all within Atlanta’s Kirkwood Community:
Toomer Elementary School
DeKalb-Atlanta Senior Center
DeKalb-Atlanta Human Services/Kirkwood Mental Health Center
Kirkwood Urban Forest
