Jill Bechtold Joins Hall Booth Smith as Partner

Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to announce Jill F. Bechtold has joined the firm as a partner in Jacksonville, Florida.
Bechtold specializes in civil litigation, focusing on medical and professional liability defense, product defense, trucking litigation, business litigation and insurance defense. She has extensive experience defending professional licensure actions, including medical physicians undergoing Florida Department of Health investigations and companies facing actions from the Department of Business & Professional Regulation. She represents clients in state and federal courts, and arbitrates matters under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and Florida arbitration codes.
In 2016, Bechtold became a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) and she is a Barrister of the Chester Bedell American Inn of Court, an organization that fosters excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility and legal skills. Bechtold is also a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and she is licensed in all Florida state and federal courts, as well as the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a nationally recognized speaker on reptile litigation theory defenses and has traveled across the nation presenting to lawyers and professional organizations.

Bechtold earned a Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, in International Business from the University of Florida and she completed her juris doctor degree at the University of Florida’s Frederic G. Levin College of Law.
In addition to her work as an attorney, Bechtold serves on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Children’s Commission, a position appointed by the office of the mayor. She is a past president of the Board of Directors for Girls, Inc. Jacksonville, where she helped create and launch a young professionals division of the board called Girls Inc. Rising Leaders Society (G.I.R.L.S.). She is also a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville’s Class of 2015.
