Patrick Millsaps Recognized as a University of Georgia 40 Under 40

Patrick Millsaps, partner in HBS Albany office, was been recently selected as one of the University of Georgia Alumni Association’s recognition program, 40 Under 40, a program designed to celebrate the university’s most outstanding young alumni. The 40 Under 40 launched last year and recognizes alumni who have made an impact in business, leadership, community, educational and/or philanthropic endeavors; demonstrated dedication to UGA and its mission of teaching, research and service; and represented the very best of UGA graduates.  Millsaps was selected from 400 outstanding nominations.

Patrick recently served as the Chief of Staff to Presidential nominee hopeful Newt Gingrich’s campaign and is a contributor to several national television and print outlets.  He concentrates his practice in education law, civil and business litigation and corporate representation.  His clients have included several county school systems, Georgia’s largest ethanol producer, and the Governor of the State of Georgia as special counsel to the Georgia Department of Community Health.  Millsaps has served as the Chairman of the State Ethics Commission, a board member on the Georgia Student Finance Commission which oversees the HOPE Scholarship, and a board member of the Georgia Area Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

The group will be celebrated at a Sept. 20 awards luncheon at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta. Both Patrick and HBS will be highlighted in UGA Alumni Association publications distributed throughout the state.

HBS would like to congratulate Patrick for receiving this position. This honor recognizes the outstanding legal work performed by HBS attorneys and bolsters the firm’s reputation as a leading law firm in the Albany area
