Seasoned Trial Lawyer Thomas Mazziotti Joins the HBS Atlanta Office As Partner

Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to announced that experienced trial lawyer Tom Mazziotti has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as a partner.  Mazziotti joins HBS from an international law firm based in Miami, where he at one point chaired the Product Liability Practice Group for the firm’s Atlanta Office.
“We are proud to have Tom join us as he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the firm” says Alex Booth, managing partner of HBS.
Mazziotti’s trial practice focuses on health care, product liability, fire cause and origin, and transportation matters. He also has deep experience counseling clients on product safety, product recall, reporting and regulatory compliance matters before federal and state agencies including the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
As examples, Mazziotti has defended major pharmaceutical and medical device companies in tort litigation, defended an automotive manufacturer in product liability lawsuits and counseled automotive products manufacturers on regulatory and recall issues before NHTSA. Mazziotti has litigated cases nation-wide, and has tried numerous cases to verdict in both federal and state courts, bringing that valuable experience examining and cross-examining expert witnesses and preparing for trials to Hall Booth Smith’s Atlanta office. He has appeared before the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeals, and has extensive experience representing clients in mediation.
“I am excited to be part of Hall Booth Smith, and helping it further expand its growing reputation as a premier, go-to law firm for trial work, particularly in the areas of product liability, medical malpractice defense, and transportation matters,” Mazziotti said.
“Over the last two decades, I have worked with several HBS lawyers and have always appreciated the quality of their work, their advocacy, and notably, their integrity.  I have also personally known John Hall, Alec Booth, and Rush Smith for a very long time, and greatly respect them as individuals and their reputations as great trial lawyers. The law firm’s core principles and culture align with my values, and I sincerely look forward to being a part of the continued success of the firm.”
A native of Atlanta, Mazziotti graduated from Marist High School, where he met his wife Jennifer, with whom he has three children. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington & Lee University, and earned a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law.
Mazziotti has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions; Products Liability Litigation – Defendants, for the past 7 years, and has been named as either a Rising Star or Super Lawyer since 2005. He is Rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel.
