Holmes, and Annika “Gracie” Livingston to its Atlanta office, further strengthening the firm’s capabilities across key practice areas including medical malpractice defense, transportation litigation, and business-related matters.

About Caleb Morris

An associate in the Atlanta office, Caleb Z. Morris focuses his practice in the areas of medical malpractice, general liability matters, business law, corporate law, and entertainment law.

Previously, both a summer associate and an operational analyst at Hall Booth Smith, he gained experience conducting legal research and drafting memoranda across various litigation groups while also producing detailed firm-wide analytical reports for HBS’s Chief Strategy Officer.

Caleb is also a legal and civic educator dedicated to reforming the justice system through strategic education and forward-thinking legal policy. He is the co-founder and strategic partner of ProCivica, where he leads the development of cognitive behavioral programs designed for first-time offenders, juveniles, and repeat offenders nationwide. By combining legal insight with evidence-based learning models, Caleb has positioned ProCivica at the forefront of educational innovation within judicial contexts.

About James Holmes

James S. Holmes is an associate in the Atlanta office, where he focuses his practice on the defense of medical malpractice, correctional health care, and dental liability matters. He represents healthcare providers, facilities, and insurers in complex professional liability cases from pre-suit investigation through trial.

James brings a unique dual-degree background to his practice, holding both a Juris Doctor and a Doctor of Pharmacy. His formal training in pharmacy provides him with a strong command of medical terminology, pharmacology, and clinical decision-making, allowing him to analyze medical records efficiently, work closely with expert witnesses, and develop effective defense strategies in healthcare-related litigation.

Prior to joining HBS, James practiced with other local Atlanta regional and national defense firms, where he handled a broad range of civil litigation matters. His experience includes defending physicians, dentists, healthcare professionals, and institutional providers in professional liability claims, as well as managing complex bodily injury cases involving significant exposure.

About Annika “Gracie” Livingston

Gracie Livingston is an associate in the Atlanta office, where her practice focuses on transportation matters.

During law school, Gracie gained hands-on experience in private practice, where she conducted extensive legal research and drafted pleadings, motions, discovery requests, affidavits, and settlement-related documents. She assisted with case preparation for mediation and court proceedings, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and deadlines.

In addition to her litigation experience, Gracie served as a legal extern with the Office of Legal Services at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In that role, she researched healthcare regulations and compliance matters, including patient privacy laws, reviewed contracts and internal policies, and supported legal initiatives related to hospital operations and risk management. She also worked as a research assistant at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, conducting legal research and assisting in the preparation of academic materials.
