Biography

An associate in the Atlanta office of Hall Booth Smith, Claire Adcox focuses her practice on medical malpractice and general liability matters. 

Previously a summer associate at Hall Booth Smith, she gained experience conducting legal research and drafting memoranda across various litigation groups. She also assisted attorneys with deposition and trial preparation, including drafting direct and cross-examination questions, and prepared a Motion for Summary Judgment in a construction litigation case that was granted. 

Claire also clerked with a criminal defense firm, where she supported attorneys from initial client meetings and discovery through a felony murder trial.

Claire earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law, where she served as president of the Moot Court Board. As a member of moot court, she coached the Chicago Bar Association competition team and competed in the Seventeenth Annual Emory Civil Rights and Liberties Moot Court Competition, where she was a semi-finalist and recipient of a Top 10 Brief Award. She also received CALI Awards for earning the highest grade in Evidence, HIV/AIDS and the Law, and Lawyering Advocacy.

In addition, Claire is a Registered Neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. While in law school, she worked as a neutral in the landlord-tenant clinic, where she mediated cases among pro se litigants and drafted mediated consent agreements in contentious dispossessory actions.

Claire also holds a B.B.A. in Accounting, summa cum laude, from Georgia State University.

The Atlanta Office of Hall Booth Smith Welcomes 10 New Associates

Hall Booth Smith’s (HBS) Atlanta office has welcomed 10 new attorneys who will support clients across a wide range of practice areas. Claire Adcox, Kathryn Brockett, Tia Brown, Morgan McClure, Anjali Patel, Lindsay Shewalter, Veronica Skelton, Paul Stegenga, Jr., Grayson Stewart, and Michael Strickland all joined the firm this fall.
