Biography

Fajorah S. Poteau is an associate in the Augusta office, where she practices in the areas of aging services, health care, insurance coverage, and medical malpractice. She assists clients in navigating complex litigation and regulatory matters, with a commitment to providing thoughtful and effective representation.

Before joining HBS, Fajorah gained valuable experience through multiple legal externships and research roles. At a law firm in Knoxville, Tennessee, she supported attorneys in insurance defense and medical-related cases by conducting legal research, drafting motions and memoranda, and assisting in litigation strategy. She also served as a legal extern with the Office of the DeKalb County Solicitor General, where she reviewed criminal case files, helped prepare discovery, and observed proceedings across various court calendars.

Earlier in her career, Fajorah worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Georgia School of Law, collaborating with faculty and students on criminal defense matters and researching resources to aid state and federal inmates. She also gained public service experience as an administrative assistant for the City of Winder, where she supported the Mayor’s office and various municipal departments.

Fajorah earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law, where she was an executive officer of both the student bar association and immigration law society. She was also active in the mock trial team, the National Black Law Student Association, and the Knoxville Bar Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Georgia.
