James H. London

James H. London has practiced law for more than 50 years and has served as a mediator and arbitrator for more than 30 years. He is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Mediator, a Fellow of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators, and has been recognized by both the Tennessee Supreme Court and the federal courts for his work in alternative dispute resolution.

Throughout his distinguished career, Jim has represented clients in complex civil litigation and dispute resolution matters involving medical malpractice, products liability, transportation, asbestos litigation, and other high-exposure claims throughout Tennessee and the Southeast. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in some of the region’s most challenging matters and has developed substantial experience as both a trial attorney and mediator. Central to Jim’s approach to practicing law is the personal connection he builds with those he represents. He strives to treat his clients as he would friends and family, taking the time to understand their concerns, earn their trust, and guide them through difficult and often complex matters.

Jim’s experience includes multiple medical malpractice trials throughout Tennessee and Kentucky involving a wide range of specialties and healthcare providers, significant products liability litigation on behalf of national manufacturers, and more than 2,000 mediations and arbitrations conducted throughout the Southeast. He has also served as a mediator in several high-profile matters and is recognized for his ability to resolve complex disputes efficiently and effectively.

Earlier in his career, Jim served as a JAG Officer in the United States Air Force and as an Assistant District Attorney General for Knox County, Tennessee. He has also maintained strong ties to his community through service with numerous civic and nonprofit organizations, including the American Heart Association, InterFaith Health Clinic, the Helen Ross McNabb Center, and Lake Forest Presbyterian Church. Outside of his practice and community involvement, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, particularly fishing together, and is an avid Tennessee Volunteers football fan who enjoys attending games whenever he can.
