Melinda L. Grabowski
Biography
Melinda L. Grabowski is a partner in the Buffalo office of Hall Booth Smith, where she concentrates her practice on medical malpractice and long-term care matters. She represents nursing homes, physicians, and other health care providers in complex medical malpractice litigation, guiding clients through all phases of a case with a strategic, results-driven approach.
Melinda brings extensive experience defending health care providers in high-exposure medical malpractice actions and regularly advises professional liability carriers on case evaluation, risk assessment, and resolution strategy. Her practice also includes representing licensed professionals in disciplinary proceedings before the New York State Department of Health’s Office of Professional Medical Conduct and the New York State Education Department’s Office of Professional Discipline, as well as assisting clients with credentialing matters.
Earlier in her career, Melinda served as in-house legal counsel for a regional health plan, where she worked on insurance policy drafting and responded to inquiries from state regulatory agencies. This experience provides her with a valuable understanding of the regulatory and business considerations facing health care clients.
Melinda earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School and received a Bachelor of Music, cum laude, from the State University of New York College at Fredonia.
