Michael Strickland
Biography
Michael Strickland is an associate in the firm’s Atlanta office, where he focuses his practice on business litigation, dental, general liability, premises liability, products liability, and transportation matters.
Before joining HBS, Michael gained legal experience as a law clerk at a local firm, where he researched and analyzed complex issues for large financial institutions, including lender liability, securities fraud, and breach of contract claims. He also drafted and revised stock purchase agreements and other transactional documents, contributing to successful closings. Earlier, as a legal intern, he supported litigation teams on civil rights and personal injury matters by preparing demand letters, discovery requests, and deposition summaries.
Michael also previously worked in operations management at Amazon, where he led a team of more than 200 associates and implemented innovative process improvements that significantly enhanced productivity and safety outcomes.
Michael earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law, where he served on the Moot Court Team, winning Best Overall Tryout, and competed with the Student Trial Lawyers Association’s Mock Trial Team. He also served as a National Board Member for the Black Law Students Association and completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Regina D. Cannon, Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. During his undergraduate studies, he participated in the Ross Global Immersion program in Tanzania.
